Scope
This policy explains how sigpik handles information when you browse the public catalog, create an account, submit or correct a product listing, or join a newsletter. Third-party products linked from sigpik apply their own privacy policies once you leave our service.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use sigpik, we may receive:
- Account details such as your name, email address, avatar, and Google account identifier when you choose Google sign-in.
- Product URLs, listing details, correction reports, feedback, and other content you submit.
- Your email address and subscription status when you join a newsletter.
- Standard technical and usage data, including request information, pages viewed, interaction events, and outbound-link events collected through Google Analytics and a hosted analytics script.
How we use information
We use information to operate accounts, review catalog submissions, keep product facts current, deliver requested updates, secure the service, and understand which research workflows are useful.
We do not sell personal information or use account data to create advertising profiles.
Service providers
sigpik uses Cloudflare infrastructure and D1 for application delivery and storage, Google for optional authentication and site measurement, Resend for newsletter delivery, and a hosted analytics service for site measurement. Google Analytics is configured without Google Signals or advertising-personalization signals. These providers process information under their own terms and may operate in countries other than yours.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain the integrity of catalog and review records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can avoid account collection by browsing without signing in, unsubscribe using the link in a newsletter, and use browser controls to limit analytics requests. You may also ask us to review, correct, or delete personal information, subject to identity verification and applicable retention requirements.
Changes and questions
We may update this policy as the product or its providers change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. For a privacy request, use the submission channel below and include “Privacy request” in your message.
